Catering by Michaels

Here is my belated review for an intimate backyard dinner party for 9 from this past Labor Day. I worked with Emily, who was incredible and made the whole process so easy breezy beautiful. With Emily's guidance, we curated a meal based on different menus from past events for inspiration. We ended up with a charcuterie board for my family to snack on before sitting down for dinner. The meal was a plated poached pear salad with bread before a family style dinner of flank steak, salmon, potato gratin and asparagus. We also did some petite sweets for dessert. We did a combo of rentals (linens and plates) and used some of our own glassware and platters. We also provided our own booze, which saved on cost. Full disclosure, this wasn't cheap. I knew that going in and thought it was 100% worth the cost to have an elegant, peaceful dinner with my family. The food was delicious (complements to the chef!) and Barbara and Robert (the on-site staff) were lovely. They set up in my garage and cooked everything on site. Plus my spouse had to clean out the garage beforehand to make space so that was an added bonus. Overall everything went so smoothly from the deliveries to the meal itself. One thing I was pleasantly surprised about was the set-up and clean-up. They pretty much cleaned my kitchen even though they didn't use it and packaged up and put away all the food (including the chicken nuggets that I made the kiddos who did not sit down to dinner with us). Would definitely recommend Catering by Michaels!

We used Catering by Michael’s for our April 2023 wedding and I cannot recommend them enough! We worked with Stacey and she was amazing through the entire process, from pricing out various options for our quotes to helping us craft a menu that would work best for our wedding. On top of all of it she was incredibly professional and always in great mood and so pleasant to work with. Catering was a big expense for us so she took a lot of time to help us get everything just right for our big day. We had a tasting a few months before the wedding, which was such a fun experience and helped us feel much better about the day. The tasting was a true demonstration of how things would go on our wedding day and they were not kidding - it was exactly the amazing food and customer service we got to experience on our wedding. Everything about the wedding catering went perfectly - every team member was professional and in a great mood, tables were served promptly with warm food, and the best part was that it was all incredibly delicious and filling. I cannot recommend CMB more - there’s a reason they’ve been around for so long and are so amazing at what they do!

We booked Catering by Michaels for our wedding after having multiple family friends recommended them and they EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS! Communication with Michaels was seamless and working with our coordinator, Stacey, was a dream. She was so on top of it in scheduling our tasting, attending our final walk-through, and making sure everything was perfect on the day of the event. First and foremost the food options they offered were TO DIE FOR. It was so hard choosing what we wanted at our wedding because everything sounded so good. I went into choosing a caterer just not wanting bad food and they provided everything and more that I could imagine. The tasting was one of our favorite parts of planning. We had such a great time trying all the food, making notes, and playing around with place-setting options. Truly we were blown away with every food item we tasted. When it came to the walk-through Stacey came prepared and asked us all the right questions, even about things we hadn't thought of or discussed. I was thoroughly impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. On the wedding day, Stacey and all the Catering by Michaels staff were TOP NOTCH! Our guests were also blown away by how delicious the food was - from apps, to dinner, to dessert. Multiple guests have reached out to us post-wedding to rave about not only the food but also about the staff and service they received. I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed working with Stacey and Catering by Michaels and would recommend them to anyone who is considering them as an option for any event!

With their exceptional service and seamless coordination, Catering by Michael's surpassed our expectations. Stacey's uplifting and reassuring demeanor not only alleviated the potential stresses of wedding planning, but elevated the experience to one that we look back on fondly. From the skillful bartending (a special thank you to Ed!) to the wonderful culinary selections, our loved ones raved about every aspect of this team's contribution for weeks. Each member of the staff's professionalism and warm hospitality truly made our day one that we will cherish for a lifetime. I wholeheartedly recommend Catering by Michael's to friends and colleagues, confident that their service will continue to be a benchmark for years to come.

We used Catering by Michaels this August for our wedding at Independence Grove and they were great! We received so many compliments on the food (and the desserts!) for weeks after the wedding. Working with Events at Independence Grove and Catering by Michaels made our wedding planning experience super easy. They were very accommodating to our needs and helped us make our day super special. Our wedding planner worked closely with event coordinator Beth Jacoby, who was always very helpful in answering our many questions and getting us what we needed to make the day so memorable. We definitely had a wedding to remember and Catering by Michaels was a big part of that!

We used catering by michaels for our wedding at the Ashbury this weekend and we were blown away! My husband and I really wanted to do something unique for our wedding as we do not like your typical ‘wedding food’ and they delivered!! Everyone came up to us to rave about the food The manager we worked with was Tiffany and she was a JOY to work with soooooo responsive so attentive professional fun and had amazing ideas that put our event over the top! She ended up not working our event we had Karli for the day of who was also amazing and everything went so smoothly and perfectly. Their servers also were so friendly and attentive at dinner we asked if they could put a container of biscuits and corn bread in our room to have for late night snacks and they gave us a ton it worked out excellently they kept everything organized and clean and during cocktail hour my guests said they were glad how many trays were constantly going around they didn’t have to hunt people down (although some guests missed out of the now famous steak deviled egg haha) They also did a special request for our dessert that meant so much to me my husband and his family Overall I highly highly recommend you use them for your wedding if I ever need another event catered I will be calling up Tiffany at catering by michaels no hesitation!!!

They recently catered our wedding and I cannot say enough good things about their service and the team at Catering By Michaels. Stacey was an amazing partner, managed all of the details, and was always quick to answer questions. The food was fantastic and we received so many compliments from our guests. It was such a good feeling knowing that we never had to worry about anything and that everything would run smoothly when it came to our catering team!!
